Food Safety Thought - Temporary Storage

Short term storage of items in  places where they should not be, can become a food safety risk.

Examples:

Clothing – smocks, gloves, rags

Production Tools – knifes, axes, scrapers

Mechanical Tools – wrenches, nuts, bolts

Product Containers – Tubs, barrels

Chemicals – cleaning, lubricants

Do your part in keeping these items in their designated places.

Insure bug lights are working properly

Use the two door system, where the inner door remains closed if the outer door is open

Keep all finish product covered

Report any problems to QA

Food Safety Thought: Slow Soap

Slow Soap – during the cooler days, the soap used at the hand wash sinks may flow a little slow!

Make sure to hold your hands under the dispenser long enough to catch the drop.

Hand wash with soap is much more effective than without!
